Hi- I ran across this in the Sun Times. Jin Yui Lew, who is the head chef at Chi Tung in Evergreen Park, was carjacked on 4/7 in Chinatown. He was found bleeding on the ground by a passerby who called 911. Apparently, he did not have an identification on him, and so he ended up at Stroger as a John Doe. When one of his sons could not reach him, he filed a missing person's report, and started a Facebook page hoping to find his father. One of the nurses at Stroger happened to run across the Facebook page and contacted the family. He has been in a coma since he arrived at the hospital, and they don't know how long it will take for him to wake up. The police do not have any leads on who carjacked him.

Horrible. I was just in Chinatown it looked so innocent but it can happen anywhere.

It happened just outside Chinatown. Semi-secluded area South of I-55 at 25th and the train tracks.

I just found out that his two sons were able to raise $94,000 through he gofundme page. They say he has not woken up yet, but he is breathing on his own now.

$94K won't mean much if the man does not wake from his coma. As someone whose family member suffered similar type of severe, blunt force brain injury, I hope he somehow, miraculous, recovers, even just a little bit.
