I have something sweet in mind to bring that is moderately labor intensive so hopefully my sous, Audrey, will lend a hand. Jonathan will just show up and eat. :D

Outstanding. Looking forward to seeing you all.

We were in Barcelona last month and made my mandatory couple stops @ Bar Pinotxo They had a book displayed called "God is in the Garbanzos" which I needed but they didn't have any more copies of. Turns out it's out of print but I found one on Amazon for $60. Worth it alone for the "cigrons amb botifarra negra ceba" aka the above mentioned garbanzos w/blood sausage, raisins and toasted pine nuts. Will leave God out but that's what I'll be bringing.

Cabbagehead and I will attend! Right now, I'm thinking of three appetizer spreads--chopped liver, sharp cheddar, and TBD, plus homemade dark pumpernickel bread and veggies & etc. for dipping. (Maybe I'm inspired by Oliver Putnam [Martin Short] on "Only Murders in the Building" and his all-dip diet?) Very much looking forward to seeing everybody!

I was at the venue last weekend for an event and it was in excellent condition. There are still 7+ weeks to go before our event, so a lot can still happen but at this point, I'm hoping the weather will be the only significant variable . . . and that it will be good.

I suppose it's about time to start considering what to bring. On that note, I think people should plan on bringing their own water. That way, everyone will have as much water as they want and no person (or group of people) will be responsible for hydrating the entire event, which could require a significant amount of water. If anyone believes they have a better way to approach this, please post it here, so we can plan accordingly. Otherwise, let's just presume that we'll all byo water and if some of us bring a bit extra (to share, just in case, etc.), all the better. :)

    Thanks,

LOL! I don't think there's any reason you can't change your mind about what you're bringing up until the time you bring it. Inspiration is fleeting and can change course in the blink of an eye. Yes, it's nice to know in advance what the overall scheme will be but we'll have cards there, which we can fill out by hand, to identify everyone's contributions. So, no dire need to decide in advance.
