At last month's gala at Pizzeria DeVille, there was discussion comparing our pizza there to the coal fired pizza at Slyce. As my dad used to say "I'll do a study."

I've never been to Slyce. Eating pizza two months in a row isn't a crime.

I'll be there, but better do a check, I believe the address is Libertyville.

I have. Slyce calls it Vernon Hills. Google calls it Libertyville. Melody Farms calls it Vernon Hills.

You don't know where the heck you're at, do you? :D

Their Sicilian salad is almost worth the price of admission. Can't wait!

I'll be in Door County, so I won't be able to join you this month. But don't think it's because I'm avoiding you. Just on the road.

Thanks, Ronnie. Just updated the cooking. Haven't done much dining out last few days.

    Hi,

My plans changed when a zoom meeting became a live meeting, but I am not keen on driving to the destination.

    I can finally enjoy Slyce!

Sans pictures, but our lunch at Slyce was really a good one. Ordered an extra Sicilian salad with greens, pine nuts, prosciutto and dressed with a yummy sweet mustard basil viniagrette because the first was snarfed up tout de suite by the six of us.

Pizzas were #4 (Margherita), #5 (Meat Lovers), #13 (with figs!), and were gobbled up. Napolitan-style but not soggy in the least. Great crust. Cateme then surprised the table with buying ice cream for all of us, sending us home happy.

I've been dining at Slyce since their inception in Wauconda at least 12 years ago, and dare I say they're just hitting their stride, and extremely reasonably-priced as well. I had forgotten how good this place was.

    Hi,

When Mom2 was still with us, Slyce Wauconda was not too far, but the hours were inconvenient. Slyce has a location in Highwood, but I loathe the parking. Slyce in Vernon Hills open for lunch with lots of parking allowed a visit finally.

Just adored all the pizzas selected with an appetizer of salad was just right. I especially liked #13 with figs.

I think I may bring my family to introduce a new style for them pizza.

    Thanks!
