EDIT: See below. This lunch will NOT take place Feb 17. Watch for a new topic with a new date and place.

For February, we are headed to Mumbai Indian Grill in downtown Evanston.

As always, all are welcome to join us! If possible, please post a note if you're planning to attend, so that we can arrange the appropriate size table for the group.

Toast, as every breakfaster knows, isn't really about the quality of the bread or how it's sliced or even the toaster. For man cannot live by toast alone. It's all about the butter. -- Adam Gopnik

Given the frigid weather tomorrow, I wanted to make sure that the lunch is still on.

Normally we'd walk, but we might drive tomorrow, given the weather. Still on, as far as I know. Anyway we'll be there.

I'll be there. It would have to be much, much colder than the predicted high of +11F for me to skip it.

I was checking the location on Google Maps, and I noticed that Google said that the restaurant did not open until 3 pm for sit-down food. I called and the person who answered confirmed that they are not open for lunch before three. Do we have a reservation earlier. They may do take-out/delivery earlier.

Unless we want an outdoor picnic tomorrow, we need to reconsider. The phone number if someone wants to check again is 847-859-2453. They are open until 9 pm tonight.

We don't have a sit-down reservation - I neglected to make one (sorry, my bad) - so let's pick a different venue for tomorrow.

I previously mentioned some alternatives to Tom privately as possibilities to discuss for March (including Joy Yee, Buffalo Joe's, Potbelly, Dos Bros, Tasty Crab), maybe one of those will work for tomorrow... Thoughts?

Thanks, Gary, for double-checking on Mumbai!!!

Next Monday the high is supposed to be 45 degrees! But this can be a collective decision.

    Potbelly?

The lunch previously scheduled for today is POSTPONED.

We'll try to schedule lunch for a week from today, Feb 24, and pick a different place. Watch for an announcement in a new topic.

If Bib likes Mensch's (or if she doesn't go today) that would seem to be a reasonable choice. Perhaps she can post?
