Thanks go out to Giovanna, the queen of Morton Grove, for suggesting the month of May’s Evanston Lunch Group™’s destination, Cappadocia Mediterranean Grill.

Bordering the Mediterranean Sea, you’ll find the cuisines of Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco (I’m sure I’m missing a few).
Hardly a unified style of food.
Reading through Cappadocia’s menu, the focus seems to be on Turkish food, and that sounds great to me.

Our chefs have years of experience cooking traditional dishes from Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, and more. We want our customers to feel like they are taking a culinary journey to the Mediterranean with every bite.

We believe in using fresh, high-quality ingredients in our dishes. We work with local farmers and suppliers to source the best ingredients possible and take care in preparing each dish to ensure that the flavors are bold and authentic. Our menu features a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.

See if it sounds great to you, too. Join us May 6 at 12:30 pm for a taste of Turkey (and maybe a couple of neighboring countries)

Obviously, I will be there for lunch.

I'll contact village hall and be sure travel visas will be available for everyone.

How do we know the administration won't abruptly cancel the visas?

I’ll be there and will bring my “original” Evanston Lunch Group(LTH) membership card. Hopefully that will get me back into Evanston if there are any visa issues.

    I plan to attend.

The menu has quite a few Turkish dishes while many of the others seem more generic Mediterranean. I haven't had Turkish food for lunch in quite while since the Chicago Cafe Orchid closed and lunch service at Antepli slowed down a lot from my initial post in the Antepli thread.

I haven't been there in quite a while, but Turquoise in Roscoe Village was solid the last time I went.
