It’s time for the 6th Annual Mardi Gras cajun-creole musicale and food exchange-feast/fest
Here are some mouth-watering pix to tempt you from last year’s party,
    viewtopic.php?f=19&t=41617&start=30&sp=492982
You should make or bring something Cajun, Creole or something to drink or snack on
Just post what you want to bring so we can keep it balanced.
My house is not gigantic, so it's a good idea to keep this shindig to around 35ish people.

Once again my husband will round up some musician types for some music, so if you play,
bring your instrument along. (we already have a baby grand), and many guitars.
Recap: it will be Sat Feb 27, from 3-7 ish
(And yes, I DO realize that this is actually officially after Mardi Gras,
but we had to avoid the Superbowl, Valentine’s, AND find day’s the musicians were available….)

We are in Deerfield, off Deerfield Rd between Edens and 294, and 0.5mi from the Deerfield Metra station.
I will PM address to attendees ahead of time.

Looks like we're available, so put us down for two. Trying not to repeat myself in the Potluck category, so maybe a crockpot full of Maque Choux (Cajun Corn) is in order this year.

    See you next month!

In for 2. Will ponder dish to bring (in New Orleans at the moment, so will search for something interesting...perhaps voodoo-related).

This is shaping up to be an awesome get-together, and starting to look pretty full.
It would probably help everyone who is TBD if Y'all could start homing in a bit on what you think you'll make- even if a category...
May I suggest, with the exception of Lou's spectacular andouille ,
we are looking a bit light on the appetizer/finger food category for anyone looking for inspiration? Cajun deviled eggs, anyone?
We also don't have any etoufee or jambalaya spoken for yet...
    Just a few thoughts....

why don't you both stick to paczki and beignets so we do have some desserts?
I was making a suggestion (and really , just a suggestion ) for all the undecided folks labeled TBD...
