Hi- Did anybody else watch the program tonight? It was much better than I expected it to be. I thought they were just there to promote their cook book, but they spent the whole hour talking about why it is important to eat local. The only complaint I have is that they did not get to most of the questions people submitted, and they had an after show for people who have purchased the book at the Book Stall. They were going to answer the rest of the questions at the after show. People were not even allowed to submit questions via the chat format. Sarah Stegner promoted Green City market, and apparently she has posted somewhere about how best to approach the farmer's market that she posted on Chicago Now. They posted the link for that, but I did not get a chance to write it down. They recorded the program, and there will be a chance to view the program again, with all of the links posted. I don't know if they are going to record the after show or not.
Apparently in the book there is a recipe for rutabaga latkes, and there are a few recipes from the book on their website. I don't know if that one is on the website. I just found their website, and there are recipes for both beet and rutabaga latkes. Here is the link to their website.
