Having recently shared a successful Evanston Lunch Group™ outing to Double Clutch Brewing (if you ignore the disappointing beers, which is a worthwhile thing to do), we’re opting to go to one of its sister restaurants, just north of the border — Pescadero Seafood and Oyster Bar, in Wilmette.

Pescadero describes itself as “A modern maritime themed seafood establishment that is upscale yet family friendly and neighborhood oriented. The cuisine focus is on accessible seafood.”

We’ll see how accessible it is Monday, April 18, 12:30 pm. All are welcome to join in.

    Pescadero Seafood and Oyster Bar
    1167 Wilmette Ave.
    Wilmette, IL 60091
    (224) 215-3011

Note: There’s an unsubstantiated rumor that there may be a brief birthday celebration at this lunch. But to quote Sgt. Schultz from the TV sitcom Hogan’s Heroes — “I know nothing.”

I didn't know that in addition to being a bad girl with a heart of gold, she also had a seafood restaurant!

In for lunch on Monday April 18th (note that the Upcoming LTH Events has the wrong date, at least as of today).
Toast, as every breakfaster knows, isn't really about the quality of the bread or how it's sliced or even the toaster. For man cannot live by toast alone. It's all about the butter. -- Adam Gopnik
