Right. Between Giovanna & then the great pics and comments from Lord Ronnie of Suburban, the 7 of us were able to maneuver through the choices.
I would say almost everything was a hit. We did ask for spiciness to be ramped down--which I
know displeased Joel, but he's a good sort and went along. Yes, one of the hits was the Amdavadi Touch sandwich, every bit an egg salad club sandwich with Indian spices. That spice level was a 5 or better, but excellent overall.
Also sampled lachko, surti gotalo, masala half/full fry, egg bhurji & green egg rice, along with another sandwich--the anda masala, which was only fair. But the others were solid & pretty much unlike other Indian cuisine I've had. According to Cynthia, she thinks the food here reflects northern India. Complex & intriguing would be two words I'd use.
'Twould be great to see the pics that were taken. Oh, by the way, I became an immediate addict to the desi chai tea. Light & totally warming on a cold, fall day. I got a second one for the road, and now am committed to trying it at home.
