Remember these? I could not locate WFF thread. Speaking of White Fence Farm, I had the craving and grabbed some carry out. I normally would go inside for the decor, ambiance and food. It's nostalgic as our family celebrations were held here and it was "the" fancy place. My niece recently graduated from DePaul and picked WFF for her celebratory dinner. WFF!
Nothing has changed. The carry-out menu is not the same as dining in.
I don't eat much fried chicken, but when I do I want WFF. Maybe it's the brine? It did hold up well--kept it warm in oven even a bit. No beets, I had a pickled jar of beets from co-op and cottage cheese. I ate a pint of coleslaw myself (my vegetarian side). The fries are terrible, as are the "mashed potatoes." Baked potato is available for dine in. Double up on the corn fritters and bean salad, you'll be fine. It's an iconic destination supper club throwback that is more than a good itch to scratch. Plus, a nice chablis by the carafe and brandy ice for dessert (must be 21).
Come for the chicken, stay for the Llamas
