A hint for you is- what you are not seeing may be crucial. :idea:Image
I'll give this more time. But what I inferred is that while this is a hot dog, perhaps it is not what the restaurant is more well known for.

Well, those 2 places will at least give you ketchup, so based on the clue, I figured G&J.

Well observed, Sherlock. I figured what we were not seeing was the Hot Dog itself; completely smothered in Fries. The missing ketchup was much less obvious. Plus, the ketchup angle never occurred to me because I never would have expected to see ketchup in the first place, because WHAT KIND OF MONSTER (over the age of ten) PUTS KETCHUP ON A HOT DOG???

Smart. The idea of ketchup being the missing visual didn't make a lot of sense since the hot dog itself is blocked and nowhere would serve it directly with ketchup on the fries. Also a location that's in the path of pudgym's bus routes and soda trips.

Close! I'd say that's a red hot from Gene's & Jude's. I like to use the names on the building, and you prefer the street sign version (Gene & Jude's Hot Dogs).

Gene's & Jude's has speckled white formica counters, like in the upper left of the photo in the first post. I don't think RHR or RRH have similar counters.

Gene's & Jude's uses seedless buns too. The fries don't quite look like Jimmy's: too long and lightly cooked. Jimmy's usually serves a dark gnarly tangle with plenty of crispy nubs. The counter doesn't look right either.

Here’s a pic from Jimmy’s random bag and all. Seems to be the counters pretty close. I guess we’ll have to wait for a verdict from Mr. Pudge.

By the way, for the eagle eyed among you. That’s not ketchup (lower right) it is hot sauce.
