Bar or Brewery in Highland Park

Hi All,

Any recommendations for a bar to get a cocktail or try a craft beer in Highland Park? We're not familiar with the area at all and are heading there for a movie at the Wayfarer theatre tonight (Saturday).

Trademark issues aside, Ravinia Brewing has a pretty good beer list.

I don't see any good options in downtown Highland Park. Ravinia Brewing is in the Ravinia business district, a short drive (less than 2 miles) away from the Wayfarer theater. For cocktails, I'd suggest Bluegrass, the same distance away just west of the highway.

Thank you for the recommendations - we ended our evening with a nice round of drinks at Ravinia Brewing.

Bluegrass looks like another good option - we didn't make it there - but I've noted it in case there is a next time

Next time go up to Highwood and there are plenty of choices -- 28 mile distilling comes to mind
