I don't get out to bars nearly as much as I used to but for my money it's Best Intentions on Armitage.

Ceres and The Long Room are our favorites.

For atmosphere, I've always liked Old Town Ale House.

Quincy Street Distillery is a quirky cocktail type bar too, worth a visit. The James Joyce in Berwyn also has its adherents, I've never been there because they don't serve food.

I was hoping there was another Quincy Street report on LTH and glad to bump and reaffirm this one. This is a beautiful little room in a historic depot and the bartenders, spirits, and cocktails are fun. They're generous with samples including aged stuff, poitin, and absinthe, and there is a cool Great Lakes vibe with the decor and labeling.
