I did. Do you put star anise in your glogg? I put cinnamon, cardamom, ginger. What about cloves? What additional liquor do you put in. I put some brandy in mine.

I don't think I have ever had glogg. I don't ever remember my Swedish grandmother fixing it, and my mother never did. What kind of alcohol does it have?

We bought two bottles of glogg from Simon's Tavern in Andersonville to help support the bar. They have regularly been selling out, which is a good thing as it should help them survive. Availability has been posted on their Facebook and Instagram feeds.

It is generally made from red wine and a little bit of another liquor, such as aquavit or brandy. Its like a hot, spiced mulled wine. Similar to Gluhwein if you ever had that. My great uncle was of Swedish extraction and started making and serving it. You serve it warm with a few almonds and raisins in the cup.
