Publican Quality Meats, which is located at the east end of the farmers' market, or the east end of Fulton market.

Sadly Publican Quality Meats was not at Logan Square last Sunday when we went searching for porchetta. Had to settle for the soft shell crab at Big and Little's.

I noticed as well, so I just made a call to PQM to confirm that they will be there this Sunday. Again, if you like porchetta and jazz, this may be your only opportunity to enjoy both simultaneously. If you don't eat meat, tofu is available three stands down from where the kids will be performing.

Great corn from Iron Creek Farm today-- 6 ears for $5. Tender, not too sweet, with great corn flavor. My husband, who usually shuns corn, ate two ears.

Logan Square Farmers Market Canceled For First Time In 16 Years, Leaving Vendors Scrambling

The market organizer called off this weekend's event after the city denied expansion plans she said would make the event safer. But vendors said they will lose key profits and have nowhere to sell harvested produce.

The Logan Square Farmers Market is expanding to include up to 40 additional vendors as part of organizers’ continued collaboration with city officials to address traffic problems.

The weekly market will now run along West Logan Boulevard from Milwaukee Avenue to Richmond Avenue — one block further east — every Sunday through Oct. 29, according to a news release.
