I was just watching the Bears game and during a player interview he mentionedThat jiggled my memory of both the restaurant at this location and friends mentioning how good Detroit style is.Not Chicago, not New York, Jet’s all the way
I wonder if anyone has tried it? I know a taste is in my future.

I believe this thread has posts with reviews and experiences at Jet's.
I saw that interview as well and laughed. I just had Buddy's in Novi, MI last weekend (and it was great as always). Jet's is not true Detroit style other than it's square and has carmelized cheese. But I have to still say Jet's square pizza is my favorite chain pizza and I have no problem with it. I even like the sausage.Panther in the Den wrote:Jet’s Pizza

What’s at 18th and Harlem?
scottsol wrote:I figured it out. Santander thought that’s where your Jet’s was.
Of course, that would have been correct if the address was 1805 South Harlem instead of 1805 North Harlem.
I view this as a chicken or the egg dilemma. The Italian sausage for pizza (pizza generally of course, but more so this ingredient) in most locations are terrible, flavorless typically-small pellets. Pepperoni is better in most locations. I assume equivalent quality pepperoni is cheaper than sausage, so the industry prefers it that way, otherwise there would have been an innovation to bring standard issue sausage closer to Chicago's.scottsol wrote:Nationwide, pepperoni is by far the favorite topping. Correct. Many locations in Chicago and around the country.
Compared to the other large corporate chains; Domino’s, Little Caesars, Papa John’s, etc this tasty crust would make it top of the heap.
During my life there were occasions where this type of pizza is required and this would be my choice.
WhyBeeSea wrote:Good news about chains is they produce a pretty consistent product and can't be coerced by the friendliness of their customers.
