A new take out place in ravinia section of Highland Park. BWB stands for Burgers, Wings and Bowls. They are on Roger Williams in the location of the old chinese take out place. I have not tried them and they obviously are only take out. https://www.bwb.rocks/

If this picture from their site is an accurate representation of the product (unmelted cheese), you can count me out. In addition, the fries are a $1 option, chips are standard.

    Seriously ?

I doubt that these young guys cooked one of their burgers and then had a professional picture taken of it. More likely, they were able to find an internet picture that was not copyrighted.

But I don't know. I haven't eaten their, since I cook all of my meals. What I do know is that every night after dinner when I am walking my dog past their door, people are usually inside picking up or waiting in their cars for pick up. So they must be doing something right.

I just wanted to let people know that the place existed.

Weird move to take a dump on a place you haven't been to that's opening up in possibly the most challenging time for restaurants in a century.

FWIW, here's a pic from their Instagram with a burger covered in melted cheese.

When I posted a comment about the picture on their Facebook page, they thanked me for the useful feedback.

I am in no way shape or form suggesting that is the case here but . . .

As the person who, for a short while though it felt an eternity, responded to social media including y*lp about the restaurant I was working at, it is entirely possible to publicly thank someone for input while thinking f*ck die get run over by a truck.

    YMMV

On the other hand, on the opening day at Rub BBQ, I talked to Jared about the unrepresentative photos on his site and he not only thanked me, but quickly changed them. It turns out his wife was in charge of the site and he hadn’t noticed the pics.

Any idea whether this is a place that will only offer take-out indefinitely, as opposed to a place that only offers take-out for the time being but is likely to offer dine-in at some future time when it's legal and frequently done?

They are in a former Chinese takeout only location and have no space for seating.

However, I am fairly certain that the barber shop next door is vacating the space, so it would seem they could expand into this space if they choose to do so.

Is it crazy to launch a restaurant during the pandemic shutdown? North Shore to-go spot stays on schedule and finds success

    From Facebook (Oct. 7):
We just learned that a non-customer facing employee from Ravinia Brewing Company tested positive for Covid-19. Out of an abundance of precaution, we will be closing immediately for professional deep cleaning to ensure there is no risk of contamination to any of our staff. We hope to be open again quickly, but we will not do so until we can open safely.
Please save up those orders as we'll have your fast, fresh and local options back soon!
Thank you all for your support.

Thank you for your support and patience as we work through all CDC guidelines for a safe reopening. We expect to be open again soon with a couple of new surprises.

Thank You for that correction. I had looked at their web site. Didn’t think to look at Facebook, where I never post.

Business owners can easily post to their Facebook page, but often need their web designer to make changes to their site.

Moral of the story: Check Facebook, Twitter etc. for the latest updates.
