I've also tried Italian-sounding pastas that turned out to be from Turkey. I'd rate them as "ok" but a little mushy.
The Mexican pastas seem to be made with something other than durum wheat.

Funny, for me, usually I've been finding skirt steak prices tremendously inflated ($8 or $9 has become $12-14), but shrimp at the Asian markets can still be found when on sale for $6-8.
