Barilla Pastina - Where to Buy in Chicago

Anyone know where to find Pastina, preferably Barilla or other better brands, in Chicago or the greater Chicagoland area? I thought I purchased it at Mariano's but haven't found it recently. I know Ronzoni discontinued their pastina but I never found Ronzoni products that good anyway.

Not sure about pastina specifically, but Granoro makes a number of small shapes. Butera, Caputo, etc have Granoro.

Ah yes, Caputo's. A little bit of a drive, but maybe when I'm in the area.

I did try looking at Mariano's, Jewel, and Conte di Savoia. I found Ancini di Pepe no. 78 at Mariano's but no pastina.

Tony's on Northwest Highway has a lot of different brands/shapes, not sure about pastina specifically but you can call and ask.

I saw numerous pastas today in sizes/ shapes similar to pastina today at Butera, all imported from Italy

I, __________, hereby swear not to panic/freak out due to “one” manufacturer eliminating one of many dozens of their pasta shapes.
I was guilty of temporary insanity today, frantically searching for pastina. Luckily, I had a moment of clarity.

Not sure if it's a sign but on my way in to work I passed an SUV with "Pastina" Illinois plates.

Looks like Angelo Caputo's carries Barilla Pastina.

I don't think I've ever seen an absolutely complete selection in any Chicago store.

In a pinch, most Latino markets carry La Moderna tiny pasta shapes, including stars, from Mexico. I've found them to cook up a little mushier than Italian pasta.

I especially like the bucatini No 11, which is smaller in diameter than others I’ve tried, but still holds sauce well.

I was at my local Pete's Fresh Market (in Oakbrook Terrace) and they had Barilla Pastina in stock - and thats one of the older, smaller Pete's, so my guess is you could get it from any of the others.

I saw it at Fresh Farms Niles today. Barilla brand in the pasta aisle next to their Orzo.

The New City Mariano's had Barilla pastina in stock yesterday.
