I was wondering who would be doing the interview, but you cannot do better than Larry and Robyn.

It was a well done segment. Interesting how they would ask the person who did not write the chapter to talk about it. Shakes things up, doesn't it?

WGN Morning News is my morning ritual!

It was fun to see people I know in REAL life on the show.

In this morning's Axios Chicago newsletter, under "Food Stores We Love," one Nancy M. has written in: "I always shop at Jewel(s), Mariano's and Trader Joe's every week. Take advantage of specials and sales and digital coupons. And wine at TJs. Very occasionally Costco and Aldi."

Could Nancy M. be our own NFriday? I think so! Congrats, Nancy.

I am not Nancy M. I went to Axios Chicago to see the post, but I could not find it. I do not belong to Costco, and I only go to Tj's and Mariano's maybe twice a year. I used to go to the Mariano's in Northbrook once a month, after I went to a meeting near there, but since the pandemic, we have been meeting via zoom.

Couponing is not nearly as good as it was five years ago. There are next to no food coupons in the Sunday paper anymore, and the Facebook group Mashup Mom that I used to post on a lot, shut down a few years ago, because Rachel decided there were not that many deals to be had other than at Aldi's. I think she still has her Aldi's Facebook group. I also used to visit Jill Cataldo's site, that used to post deals at Chicago area grocery stores, but she does not post deals anymore because she says there are not as many at Jewel and Mariano's, and there are not nearly as many good coupons, and plus the grocery stores now refuse to send her their weekly ads early so she could post the deals. I mostly shop at Jewel and the farmer's market, and maybe once a month at Whole Foods. With the price of gas, it is not worth my while to go to five different grocery stores to save a few dollars like I used to do. Most of the coupons I do use I get on J4U. When I went to Jewel on Thursday, I saved 45% on my main J4U account, and 90% on my other account. I cashed in three free rewards items on my secondary account. I occasionally find a coupon on CVS that is worth using too.

    Thanks, Nancy

This series of articles in New City has LTH all over it. Contributors include David Hammond, Cynthia [Clampitt], and Tom Keith (aka nr706). Also includes an impressive profile of Cathy2 under Media and Influencers. Worth a look.

This is about kitchen remodeling so I’m calling it close enough. I was on the WGN morning show a couple weeks back.

In response to Ronnie's request for more posts -- here is what I've been writing for Newcity Magazine (thanks David Hammond) -- street food, heirloom whiskey, a couple of good restaurants, Wisconsin cheese, historic taverns -- a link rather than retyping/rewriting the info -- but still sharing. https://resto.newcity.com/author/cynthia-clampitt/

It was my pleasure and yeah, LTH has done the exact same for me. :)

I've really been enjoying the other episodes of Joiners. I think you and Tim have a great approach.

I'm starting to catch up on these from the beginning and Im almost done w this episode! Great job on here Ronnie and it was very fascinating and entertaining! As someone who's also very self depricating, I laughed a couple times at how little credit you give yourself!

Also, you still offering up your knife sharpening skills? ;)

Hehe, thanks. And yes, I love sharpening knives -- my sister just dropped off 7 of them yesterday -- and I would be happy to do yours if you like. If so, send me a PM and let's make a plan! :)

I'm in the same boat as you that I like to practice but thanks for the offer. When I heard you mention it, I was like I'll bet Ronnie genuinely would do this for others!
