I am not Nancy M. I went to Axios Chicago to see the post, but I could not find it. I do not belong to Costco, and I only go to Tj's and Mariano's maybe twice a year. I used to go to the Mariano's in Northbrook once a month, after I went to a meeting near there, but since the pandemic, we have been meeting via zoom.
Couponing is not nearly as good as it was five years ago. There are next to no food coupons in the Sunday paper anymore, and the Facebook group Mashup Mom that I used to post on a lot, shut down a few years ago, because Rachel decided there were not that many deals to be had other than at Aldi's. I think she still has her Aldi's Facebook group. I also used to visit Jill Cataldo's site, that used to post deals at Chicago area grocery stores, but she does not post deals anymore because she says there are not as many at Jewel and Mariano's, and there are not nearly as many good coupons, and plus the grocery stores now refuse to send her their weekly ads early so she could post the deals. I mostly shop at Jewel and the farmer's market, and maybe once a month at Whole Foods. With the price of gas, it is not worth my while to go to five different grocery stores to save a few dollars like I used to do. Most of the coupons I do use I get on J4U. When I went to Jewel on Thursday, I saved 45% on my main J4U account, and 90% on my other account. I cashed in three free rewards items on my secondary account. I occasionally find a coupon on CVS that is worth using too.
Thanks, Nancy
