I recall having a Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese shaker in the Sears Coldspot fridge back near the entirety of the 80's.
Only my dad ate it, on his spaghetti with tomato sauce, added dry italian seasoning blend, and a can of Pennsylvania Dutchmen sliced mushrooms, because he wasn't going to be "robbed" by those Ragu people for mixing it all in together and charging double.
Only he ate that spaghetti after a while, and no one ever ate the grated Parmesan.
Dad's saving grace was that he knew pizza. Pizza Castle on 55th for midnight Friday delivery of large sausage well done, during Lent. Special occasions in the 70's were Little Joe's on 63rd. Transitioned in later 70's to late 90's to Vito & Nick's, for every special occasion including after Christmas Eve mass.
Good times, bad fridgerator cheese.
