This is one pizza that needed salt. So it is perfect for Cynthia!

    I will be there.

There is a cult following for Bill's, even sending their pies out-of-state. Living here in Mundelein for the past thirty years, I never understood it. But today we shared an Italian beef with giardiniera pizza (all thin & all well done), a Bill's special with sausage & veggies, and a Sue-concocted pepperoni/green olive, which I loved. Who knew?

And now I understand a little. The sausage was perfect and redolant of fennel. Fine versions, all. Maybe a step below Kaiser's and Wells Bros., but not much. And great, inane conversation focusing on 1 space after a period instead of two.

I have to get out of the house more...I miss so much!

Who'd have thought that lunch with LTHNLG could be so educational?

This was the best visit to Bill's with no need to grab a salt shaker.

I love the comradery when I can taste the giardiniera to find it too hot, then put it on someone else's plate to finish off. You cannot do that everywhere.

    Cost was $24 per person.
